Core Golf Junior Academy new name for Junior Golf Academy of Canada

The Junior Golf Academy of Canada has been re-launched as the Core Golf Junior Academy to better reflect the academy’s appeal internationally and core pillars that make the academy so effective in teaching junior golfers.

ORLANDO, Florida (August 26, 2008)—The Junior Golf Academy of Canada has been re-launched as the Core Golf Junior Academy to better reflect the academy’s appeal internationally and core pillars that make the academy so effective in teaching junior golfers.

Known as the Florida home for PGA Tour instructor Sean Foley, the Junior Golf Academy of Canada quickly established itself as a premier coaching academy that integrates private schooling and intensive instruction for high-school aged juniors. The academy based at Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge in Orlando has just begun its third academic season.

“Given that Sean and most of us are Canadians with roots in the Greater Toronto Area, the original name served us well in our early years to establish ourselves with aspiring junior golfers and their families who were looking for a high-level junior academy,” said Jeff Hay, Director of Operations.

"Core Golf Junior Academy allows us to communicate more effectively with international students and American student families, and it better reflects the attributes that combine to make our academy an effective environment for growing as golfers and people."

The new web site address for the academy is www.coregolfacademy.com

The new name also reflects the academy’s credo that values of excellence, healthy living, integrity, and dedication are at the core of great golfers and outstanding citizens of the world.

Our students are mentored by a powerful team of coaches who are among the rising stars of PGA Tour:

Sean Foley, Director of Instruction, whose students include PGA Tour players Stephen Ames and Sean O’Hair, the Nationwide Tour’s Greg Owen, Ontario Amateur Champion Nicole Vandermade, and Ontario Girls Champion Jennifer Kirby.
Dr. Craig Davies, Director of Fitness and Nutrition, whose clients include PGA Tour players Ames, Hunter Mahan, Jon Mills, Chris Stroud, and George McNeill.
Neale Smith, Performance Enhancement Consultant, who works with PGA Tour players Mahan, Steve Allan, Scott McCarron, Nathan Green, and Nick Flanagan.

Students of the Core Golf Junior Academy attend Windermere Preparatory School, one of Florida’s most acclaimed private educational institutions. Core Golf students play on two of Florida’s top junior tours which are scouted by the coaches of leading NCAA college golf teams.
